The waistband is not straight: the two panels cross in a V at the front and slope down toward the hips. Without the horizontal line running straight across the abdomen, the band does not cut in or leave marks.
- High waist — the point of the V reaches above the navel and stays in place during lunges.
- Wide flare — the leg opens from the knee with a wide bell shape, not just a slight flare.
- Long length — the hem covers the shoe; with sneakers, it skims the ground.
